Wilted Lettuce With Egg

|Torn leaf lettuce/Spinach||8 Cup (128 tbs)|
|Onion||1⁄2 Medium, sliced into rings|
|Bacon strips||3 , diced|
|Vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Hard-cooked egg||1 , chopped|
Place lettuce and onion in a large salad bowl; set aside.
In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp (do not drain).
Stir in vinegar, water, salt and pepper.
Pour over lettuce and toss gently until well coated.
Top with egg.
