Split Pea Or Lentil Soup
|Water/Soup stock||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Split peas/Lentils||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Celery seed||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Tamari soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Sea salt||To Taste|
|Chopped parsley||1 Tablespoon|
Bring the water or stock to a boil.
Add the vegetables and bring the water to a boil again.
Add the split peas.
Simmer 45 minutes.
Add the salt, celery seed, and bay leaf and simmer 15 more minutes.
Add the tamari or additional salt 5 minutes before soup is finished.
Remove bay leaf before serving.
Garnish with fresh parsley.
