Herbed Lentils And Rice

Ingredients
  Chicken broth 2 2⁄3 Cup (42.67 tbs)
  Lentils 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Onion 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), chopped
  Brown rice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dry white wine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Dried basil 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Dried oregano 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Dried thyme 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Garlic powder 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Swiss cheese 2 Ounce, shredded
  Swiss cheese 2 Ounce, cut into strips
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350°

MAKING
1. In a 1 1/2 quart casserole mix all the ingredients. Do not include the cheese strips.
2. Cover. Bake for 90 minutes at 350° till rice and lentils are well cooked.
3. Stir so that the ingredients do not stick to one another.
4. Put the cheese strips just over the lentil and rice mixture.
5. Bake fro 3 minutes till cheese melts.

SERVING
6. Serve herbed lentils and rice warm.
