Spicy Lentils With Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
  Dried lentils 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Bay leaf 1
  Parsley sprigs 3
  Onion 1 , chopped
  Shortening 3 Tablespoon
  Cooked rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Ground mace 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Seasoned tomato sauce 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Clean and wash lentils. Soak overnight in water and keep aside.

MAKING
2) In a skillet add bay leaf and parsley. Cook for about 1 hour till done.
3) Heat fat and brown onion. Stir in lentils, rice and mace. Add salt and pepper to taste.
4) Cook on heat.

SERVING
5) Serve hot with sauce.
