1. Start oven, set at 350° F., Moderate. Rub a 1 1/2-quart baking dish with butter, drippings or margarine.
2. Brown the sausages quickly in a hot frying pan.
3. Saute the onion and celery in the sausage drippings. Chop sausages in small pieces. Mix with lentils, add salt and sauteed vegetables. Mix well and pour into the greased baking dish.
4. Bake 30 minutes.
