Baked Lentils

  Dry lentils 1⁄2 Pound (1 Cup)
  Bacon slices 2 , cut into small pieces
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chopped onion/1 tablespoon instant minced onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chili sauce 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Molasses 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon

Wash and sort lentils.
In 3 or 4-quart casserole, combine lentils and 3 cups water.
Cook, covered, 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in remaining ingredients and Cook, covered, 15 minutes or until lentils are just about tender, stirring occasionally
