|Bacon slices||2 , cut in small pieces|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Instant minced onion||1 Tablespoon|
|Chili sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Molasses||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Mustard||1 Teaspoon (Dry Or Prepared)|
Wash and sort lentils.
In 3 or 4-quart casserole, combine lentils and 3 cups water.
Cook covered, 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in remaining ingredients and cook covered, 15 minutes or until lentils are just about tender, stirring occasionally.
Let stand at least 5 minutes before serving.
