Microwave Baked Lentils
|Dry lentils||1⁄2 Pound, washed and sorted (1 Cup)|
|Water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Bacon slices||2 , cut into pieces|
|Packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chili sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Molasses||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Prepared mustard||1 Teaspoon|
1. Combine all ingredients in 3-quart glass casserole. Cover with glass lid or plastic wrap.
2. Microwave on HIGH for 10 minutes. Stir and recover.
3. Microwave on SIMMER for 50 to 55 minutes or until tender. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
