Classic Lemonade

Canadian.Recipes's picture
Lemon juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Orange juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
White sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
Cold water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Ice cubes 18

Stir the juice and sugar together in a large pitcher.
Add the water and ice cubes.
Stir thoroughly and chill.
Fruit ices or sherbets, on the other hand, can be made in the freezing compartment of a refrigerator.
The texture is quite good if you remember to beat the fruit puree thoroughly just as it begins to freeze.
Also, be sure to eat homemade ices and ice creams within days of making, for without preservatives they soon lose their flavour and become icy.
