|Fresh lemon juice||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Finely grated lemon zest||4|
|Cold water||2 Quart (8 Cups)|
|Ice cubes/Crushed ice||2|
|Fresh mint leaves||4 (To Garnish)|
Combine sugar and 1 cup water in small saucepan over medium heat and bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally .
Remove from heat and cool completely .
Combine syrup, lemon juice and zest in large pitcher or jar with tight-fitting lid.
Add cold water and stir vigorously.
When ready to serve, fill tall glasses with ice and pour lemonade over .
Garnish with lemon slices and mint.
