|Granulated sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Water||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Combine sugar, 1 c water and skins left after squeezing lemon juice.
Simmer, covered, 6 min.
Squeeze out skins and discard.
Add lemon juice and remaining 4 c water.
Carbonated water may be substituted for this water.
Serve well iced with lemon slice garnish.
