|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Cinnamon sticks||2 (3 Inch)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Ice cubes||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1. In 3-quart saucepan over high heat, heat sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and 4 cups water to boiling. Reduce heat to low; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat; discard cinnamon sticks and cloves.
2. Meanwhile, cut lime and 1 lemon into thin slices; cut each slice in half. Grate 1 tablespoon peel from lemon. Squeeze remaining lemons to make 3/4 cup juice.
3. To spiced sugar mixture, add lemon juice, lemon and lime slices, grated lemon peel, and 3 cups water. Cover and refrigerate lemonade at least 1 hour to chill and blend flavors.
