Olive Oil And Lemon Marinade

Ingredients
  Olive oil 1⁄2 Pint (300 milliliter)
  Fennel seeds 1 Teaspoon
  Dried marjoram 1 Teaspoon
  Dried savory 1 Teaspoon
  Dried thyme 1 Teaspoon
  Bay leaves 2 , crumbled
  Lemon 1⁄2 , juiced
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

MAKING
1 In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil.
2 Add in the fennel seeds, marjoram, savory, thyme and bay leaf.
3 Make sure the oil is hot enough, so that the flavours of the herbs can be released.
4 Set the marinade in a warm place and let cool gradually.

SERVING
5 Pour the cooled marinade over your fish.
6 Sprinkle with lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
7 Set aside for 30 to 60 minutes.
8 Baste the fish during cooking with the marinade.
