|Strained lemon juice||1 Cup (16 tbs) (About 3 Lemons)|
|Strained orange juice||1 Cup (16 tbs) (About 2 Oranges)|
|Lemon extract||1 Tablespoon|
|Egg whites||2 , beaten|
Boil the 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1 1/2 cups water together rapidly for 10 minutes to make a syrup.
Measure 1 1/3 cups of the syrup; reserve.
Soften gelatin in the cold water; then dissolve in the boiling water.
Add fruit juice, syrup, and a few drops of lemon extract.
Freeze until mushy.
Put mixture into a bowl; add egg whites; beat until smooth and fluffy.
Freeze until firm.
