|Chopped parsley||2 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm)|
|Olive oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Canned tomato paste||6 Ounce|
|Lasagna noodles||1 Pound|
|Salted water||5 Quart|
|Mozzarella cheese||1 Pound|
|Ricotta cheese/Cottage cheese||1⁄2 Pound|
|Grated parmesan cheese||2 Tablespoon|
Brown ground meats together with onion, parsley and garlic in olive oil.
When meat has browned, drain off the fat.
Add 2 cups water, tomato paste, salt and pepper.
Simmer slowly 1 1/2 hours.
Boil noodles in salted water until tender.
You will have to stir frequently to prevent noodles from sticking together, or brush noodles with oil before boiling.
Drain, and arrange layers of noodles, meat sauce, mozzarella and ricotta in shallow casserole, with noodles on top.
Sprinkle with grated Parmesan, and bake at 375°F about 35 minutes or until top is lightly browned.
Note: If doubling recipe, make 2 separate casseroles, as it is difficult to cook a larger amount of noodles at 1 time.
