Savory Skillet Lasagna
|Italian sausage links||1 Pound, casings removed|
|Canned whole peeled tomatoes||28 Ounce (1 Can, Hunts Chunks)|
|Tomato paste||6 Ounce (1 Can, Hunts)|
|Italian seasoning||1 Teaspoon|
|Campanelle pasta||18 Ounce (3 Cups Of 6 Ounce, Ruffled Edges)|
|Shredded mozzarella||16 Ounce, divided (2 Cups Of 2 Ounce)|
Cook sausage over medium high heat in a 10 inch skillet until crumbled and no longer pink.
Drain, and blend in tomatoes, paste and seasoning.
Simmer for 5 minutes then remove from pan and keep warm.
Place 1/2 of the cooked pasta in bottom of skillet.
Pour half of tomato meat mixture over pasta.
Sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella cheese and top with remaining pasta, tomato meat mixture and mozzarella.
Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until heated through and cheese melts.
Remove from heat and let stand 1 minute before serving.
