Ingredients
  Chopped onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
  Beef chuck 1 Pound
  Tomato sauce 8 Ounce (1 Can)
  Tomato paste 6 Ounce (1 Can)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Oregano 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground pepper To Taste
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Basil 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Whole clove 1 , crushed
  Lasagna noodles 8 Ounce, cooked al dente, drained
  Ricotta cheese/Cottage cheese 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Shredded parmesan cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sliced mozzarella cheese 8 Ounce
Directions

Saute onion and garlic in oil until tender.
Add meat and brown.
Add tomato sauce and paste, water and seasonings and simmer, covered, 20 to 30 minutes.
Place half of lasagne in bottom of buttered shallow 13x9-inch casserole.
Spread half of ricotta, Parmesan, and mozzarella cheese over lasagne.
Add half to meat sauce.
Repeat layers.
Bake in a 350° F.oven 45 minutes.
