Mock Lasagna

Mock Lasagna has an Awe-inspiring taste. The beef and cream cheese gives the Mock Lasagna Sole taste. Must catch it
  Lean ground beef 1 Pound
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Vegetable shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Broad noodles 5 Ounce
  Cream style cottage cheese 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (Small Curd)
  Cream cheese 3 Ounce (1 Package)
  Tomato sauce 1 Can (10 oz)
  Tomato paste 1 Can (10 oz)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Dried oregano 1⁄4 Teaspoon

Advance preparation: In large skillet, brown ground beef and onion in hot vegetable shortening.
Cook noodles ac cordingto package directions; drain.
In small bowl, cream together cottage cheese and cream cheese.
Drain excess fat from beef mixture; stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, and seasonings.
In 2 quart casserole, place half the noodles; top with half the meat mixture and cheese mixture.
Repeat layers; spread last layer of cheese to completely cover top.
Before serving: Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes or until heated through.
