Lamb Shank

Lamp Shank is usually referred to a cut of lamb meat, especially from the shoulder, which mainly contains the parts like leg bone, shoulder bone and the accompanying thin layer of fat. Lamb shanks also include tendons and muscles, which make them very delicious when cooked. When preparing dishes, lamb shank is usually marinated with a mix of vegetables, herbs, spices and sometimes red wine; such marinated lamb shank is braised, roasted or cooked in oil. Lamb shank is a perfect main course to serve for a group in special occasions and is best enjoyed with sauces or syrups and mashed potatoes.
