Steamed Leg Of Lamb
|Lamb steak||1 Pound|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Covering The Meat)|
|Soy sauce||2 Tablespoon|
|Cloves||2 , crushed|
|Sesame seed oil||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Put the lamb steak in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
Bring to a boil, turn the heat down and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Heat a pan with oil and when it is hot brown the lamb for a minute or two.
Cut the meat into slices about 1/4 inch thick and arrange them in an ovenproof serving bowl.
Add the soy sauce, a few drops of sesame seed oil and the crushed anise.
Place a rack in a saucepan filled up to 2 inches of boiling water.
Place the bowl on the rack, cover and steam for 15 minutes.
Serve very hot.
