Barley Lamb Hotpot

|Parsnip||1 , diced|
|Turnips||2 , diced|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Carrots||2 , diced|
|Celery stick||2 , chopped|
|Leek||1 , chopped|
|Water||3 Pint (1.8 Liters Or 7 1/2 Cups)|
|Barley||3 Ounce, soaked (75 Grams Or 3/8 Cups)|
|Chopped parsley||1 Tablespoon (5 Grams)|
1Blanch the lamb in boiling water for 5 minutes.
Refresh in cold water and drain.
2 Place the meat in a large pan and add the vegetables and the water.
Add the bouquet garni and season with salt and pepper.
Bring to the boil and simmer for 1/2 hour.
3 Add the barley, and simmer for 1 hour until the meat and barley are tender, adding extra water if needed.
Remove the bouquet garni and check the seasoning.
4 When ready to serve, sprinkle with chopped parsley.
