Braised Lamb Shanks
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Lamb shanks||2 Medium|
|Salad oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Snipped parsley||1 Tablespoon|
|Curry powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Combine flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper.
Coat lamb shanks on all sides in seasoned flour.
Brown evenly in hot oil.
Stir in onion and garlic; cook till tender but not brown.
Add remaining ingredients; cook, covered, over low heat till tender, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Turn meat once or twice during cooking.
Skim excess fat from sauce before serving with meat.
