Hearty Lamb Shanks

Ingredients
  Lamb shanks 4 (about 12 ounces each)
  Buttermilk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Instant minced onion 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Ginger 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground coriander 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Celery seed 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Arrange meat in ungreased baking dish, II 1/2X 7/2XI 1/2 inches.
Mix remaining ingredients; pour on meat.
Cover and refrigerate, turning meat occasionally, at least 8 hours.
About 2 1/2 hours before serving, heat oven to 350°.
Bake Hearty Lamb Shanks covered 2 hours.
Uncover; bake until tender, about 30 minutes.
