Lamb Shanks

  Oil 3 Tablespoon
  Lamb shanks 48 Ounce (4 Shanks Of 12 Ounce Each)
  Flour 3 Tablespoon
  Beef broth 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Rosemary 1 Teaspoon
  Onion 1 , finely chopped
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), finely chopped
  Carrots 4 , chopped into 1 inch pieces
  Frozen peas 8 1⁄2 Ounce

Heat the oil in a skillet and brown the lamb shanks on all sides.
Transfer to a 21/2 quart glass or ceramic casserole.
Stir the flour into the oil.
Add the beef broth gradually, stirring to form a smooth sauce.
Add all the remaining ingredients except the peas, and pour over the lamb.
Cover and cook on "roast" setting for 50 minutes.
Add the peas and continue cooking for 10 minutes at the same setting.
