Casserole Dinner Of Lamb Chops

Ingredients
  Fat 2 Tablespoon
  Lamb shoulder chops 4
  Potatoes 4 Medium
  Onions 8 Small
  Carrots 8 Medium
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Milk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt and pepper To Taste
  Powdered ginger 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Paprika To Taste
Directions

Heat fat in skillet, and brown chops well.
Put a layer of potatoes and onions in bottom of deep baking dish; add chops, then another layer of potatoes and onions and top with carrots.
Melt butter or margarine, and stir in flour.
Remove from heat, and slowly stir in milk, then sour cream.
Add ginger, salt and pepper.
Return to heat, and cook until smooth and thickened, stirring constantly.
Pour over chops, sprinkle with paprika and bake, covered, at 325°F. about 11/2 —2 hours.
