Hanah's picture
This French Leg of Lamb has always been my personal favorite, ever since I first had it at my graduation farewell. Here's a rather simple recipe for French Leg of Lamb for you to try and do let me know how it turns out for you!
French dressing 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Onions 2 Small
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm)
  Ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Leg lamb 5 Pound

Mix together French dressing, onions, garlic and ginger.
Pour over leg of lamb.
Chill 6 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
Drain lamb, reserving marinade.
Place meat on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
Insert meat thermometer into the center of the thickest part of the roast, making sure it does not rest in fat or on bone.
Bake in a moderate oven (350°F.) 2]/2 hours or until meat thermometer registers 175 to 180°F., depending upon desired degree of "doneness." Baste occasionally with marinade during cooking period.
Remove to platter and garnish as desired..
