Spicy Lamb Shanks

Ingredients
  Lamb shanks 5
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Dried apricots 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Pitted prunes 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vinegar 2 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Ground allspice 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Coat lamb shanks with salt and pepper.
Place in slow-cooking pot.
Add apricots and prunes.
Combine water and vinegar with sugar, allspice, cinnamon, and cloves.
Pour over fruits and meat.
Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours or until meat is tender.
Makes 4 to 5 servings.
