Lamb Shanks In Wine Sauce

  Lamb shanks 4
  Onion 1 Medium, sliced
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Red wine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Carrots 4 , sliced into 1/4 inch slices
  Celery stalk 1 , chopped

In 2 1/2 or 3-quart casserole, combine lamb shanks, onion, salt and bay leaf.
Mix flour with water to dissolve.
Add to lamb along with remaining ingredients.
Cook covered, 28 minutes or until lamb is done, turning lamb about 3 times to coat with sauce.
Let stand covered, 15 minutes to finish cooking.
