Baked Lamb Shanks

Ingredients
  Lamb shanks 4 Large, well trimmed of fat
  Garbanzo sprouts 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
  Onions 2 Medium, chopped
  Lemon 1 , juiced
  Chopped parsley 3 Tablespoon
  Chopped mint 1 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Freshly ground pepper To Taste
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Tomatoes 2 , peeled and sliced (Fresh Or Canned)
  Dry vermouth 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Preheat oven to 400°.
Place lamb shanks in 2 qt.baking dish.
Sprinkle sprouts over shanks.
Pour over all ingredients.
Cover tightly.
Roast for 2 hours.
Remove lamb shanks and reduce sauce by boiling hard until it thickens.
Taste for seasoning and pour over lamb shanks.
Sprinkle with additional parsley.
