Braised Lamb Shanks

Ingredients
  Lamb shanks 2 1⁄2 Pound
  Vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon
  Onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Catsup 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Worcestershire sauce 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
Directions

Cook shanks in hot oil in a large skillet until browned.
Drain well.
Add remaining ingredients to skillet.
Cover and cook over medium heat 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until shanks are tender, stirring occasionally.
Add additional water to skillet as necessary.
