Grape And Basil Jelly

Ingredients
  Boiling water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dried basil 1 Tablespoon
  Grape juice 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Powdered fruit pectin 1 3⁄4 Ounce (1 package)
  Sugar 3 Cup (48 tbs)
Directions

Pour boiling water over basil in small bowl.
Cover.
Let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
Strain through cheese cloth into measuring cup.
Add more water, if necessary, to make 1/2 cup.
Combine basil water, grape juice and pectin in 2-quart bowl.
Microwave 5 to 7 minutes on HIGH, or until mixture boils.
Stir in sugar.
Reduce setting.
Microwave 6 to 8 minutes on '6', or until mixture is slightly thickened, stirring once to dissolve sugar.
Skim.
Pour into hot sterilized jars.
Seal.
Note: Dried thyme may be substituted for basil.
For ovens without solid state heat control, after adding sugar, Microwave 7 to 9 minutes on '5'.
