Fruit in Wine Jelly
|Unflavored gelatin||3 Tablespoon|
|Cold water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Boiling water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||3 Tablespoon|
|White table wine||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)|
|Navel oranges||2 Large|
|Halved and seeded red grapes||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Soften gelatin in cold water.
Add sugar, salt and boiling water and stir until gelatin is dissolved.
Add lemon juice and wine and chill until the consistency of unbeaten egg'whites.
Peel oranges, remove all membrane and section.
Peel and core pears and cut into sections.
Fold in fruit and pour into a 1 1/2- quart mold.
Chill until firm.
Unmold on salad greens.
