Cherry Jelly Or Topping

Ingredients
  Sour cherries 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Granulated sugar replacement 3 Teaspoon
  Low calorie pectin 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Rinse cherries and remove the stems.
Combine cherries and water in saucepan.
Bring to boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes.
Strain; reserve juice.
Add sugar replacement and pectin to 1 cup (250 mL) of juice, adding extra water, if necessary, to make up the juice.
Stir to completely blend and return to heat.
Bring back to boil, boil for 1 minute and then remove from heat.
Cool slightly.
Pour into serving dish or jelly jar; chill.
