|Soy sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Vegetable oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground ginger||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
Combine all ingredients, stirring well.
Place chicken, beef, or pork in a shallow dish; pour marinade over meat.
Cover and marinate several hours or overnight in the refrigerator, turning meat occasionally.
Baste meat with marinade during grilling.
