Ingredients
  Shaved dried bonito 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Hanakatsuo)
  Dried kelp piece 1 (About 6 X 6 Inches In Dimension)
  Water 1 Quart
  Salt To Taste
  Monosodium glutamate 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Japanese soy sauce 1⁄2 Teaspoon (Shoyu)
Directions

MAKING
1) Combine bonito, kelp, and water and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
2) Strain the soup, season with salt, soy sauce, and monosodium glutamate.

SERVING
3) In each soup bowl, arrange small slices of canned fish cake, a slice of fresh mushroom, boiled spinach, and a slice of lemon peel.
4) Pour the hot soup and serve.
