Tofu Teriyaki Appetizers

Ingredients
  Sesame seed 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Dry sherry 2 Tablespoon
  Cornstarch 2 Teaspoon
  Soya sauce 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced or pressed
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Dry mustard 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Grated fresh ginger/1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Fried tofu 1 Pound (Raw)
Directions

In a small pan over medium heat, stir sesame seed until lightly toasted; remove from pan and set aside.
In the pan, stir together Sherry and cornstarch; stir in soy, garlic, brown sugar, dry mustard, and ginger and cook, stirring, over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens; cool.
Pour sauce over raw-fried tofu in a shallow pan to coat thoroughly on all sides; cover pan tightly and marinate for about 1 hour.
Before serving, lift tofu from sauce and place on a rack set over a shallow baking pan or on a broiler pan.
Broil 3 inches below a preheated broiler unit until sauce bubbles (about 2 minutes on each side); baste occasionally with remaining sauce.
Cut tofu into 3/4-inch cubes.
Sprinkle with sesame seed.
Serve warm with wooden picks for spearing.
