Looking for a party food that is easy to make and filling? Whether it is a dressing up or a dressing down party, prawn teriyaki would be a great choice. With this prawn recipe, you can place the seafood on a skewer with pineapples, bell peppers, and onions to grill and make as a kabob. Or, you can have all these deep fried for a great appetizer with teriyaki sauce dip on the side.
  Shrimps 24 Large
Vegetable oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For deep frying)
  Peanut oil 2 Tablespoon
Soy sauce 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sesame oil 2 Tablespoon
  Fresh lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
Garlic 3 Clove (15 gm), crushed
  Chopped ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Ground pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Teriyaki sauce 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)

Wash, shell, and devein the prawn. Make sure that you keep the prawn in cold water while making the marinade.

Combine all the other ingredients except the teriyaki sauce in a mixing bowl. Place this on top of a bigger bowl with ice water. This will keep the marinade cool. Place the prawn in the marinade and cover the container with plastic wrap. Marinate the shrimp for at least an hour. Make sure that you are able to soak them well in the marinade by stirring or turning it every once in a while. Remove and drain the prawn, then cook.

For frying:

Mix 2 cups of flour with ½ cup sesame seeds. Coat the shrimp with this and fry in hot vegetable oil for two minutes. Place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

For grilling:

Skewer the prawn together with pineapple slices, bell pepper pieces, and onion quarters. You can place around two shrimps in each skewer. Place over a preheated grill and cook for three minutes on each side. You may also place this on a baking pan and cook in a preheated oven for a little less than five minutes.

Arrange the prawn on a platter. Do not forget to serve your prawn with Teriyaki Sauce on the side to complete your recipe.

You can add variety to the meal you will be preparing during the party by adding chicken, pork, or beef, which you can use the same cooking style with. This would also be a good option for your guests, who do not want to eat prawn because of allergies or of high cholesterol. Follow the preparations for the prawn, then cook it in your desired way, whether fried or grilled. You can prepare the Teriyaki Sauce before hand as a dip or sauce. The mother of all these, however, will remain this shrimp teriyaki recipe.
