Original japanese teriyaki sauce ingredients:
  Mirin 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Soy sauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)

  Rice vinegar 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Sesame oil 1 Teaspoon
Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
  Ginger 1⁄2 Tablespoon, minced
  Ground pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon

Boil mirin in a pan then pour in soy sauce, sugar, and rice vinegar. Stir while adding garlic, ginger, and pepper. Continue stirring until the sauce starts to thicken. Turn off the heat and add in the sesame oil. This recipe would be a great sauce to pour onto grilled or broiled meats.

Korean Style Teriyaki Sauce Ingredients

½ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons minced ginger
¼ cup onions, sliced thinly
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons sesame seeds

Boil the soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and onions together. Add in the honey and sesame oil. Allow the mixture to cool. On a separate pan, toast the sesame seeds, then sprinkle on top of the sauce.
