Japanese Ham And Cabbage Salad

Ingredients
2 or 3 slices cooked ham, 1/4 inch thick
4 cups finely shredded green cabbage
3 tbs sesame seeds, toasted
1 tbs salad oil
3 tbs vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbs sugar
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp monosodium glutamate
Directions

Slice ham into thin strips.
Heat 1 cup lightly salted water to a boil in a medium-size skillet, then add the cabbage and bring to a boil.
Cover and cook quickly, about 2 minutes.
Drain well.
Toss with the ham and remaining ingredients.
Taste for seasoning and cool.
