Teriyaki Sloppy Joes
|Ground chuck||1 1⁄4 Pound|
|Chopped green onions||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped celery||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Chopped water chestnuts||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Minced ginger root||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Low sodium teriyaki sauce||3 Tablespoon|
|Tomato paste||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Low calorie catsup||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cider vinegar||2 Teaspoon|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Hamburger buns||4 , split and toasted|
Combine first 6 ingredients in a large nonstick skillet,- cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until meat is browned and vegetables are render.
Drain well and pat dry with paper towels.
Wipe pan drippings from skillet with a paper towel.
Return meat mixture to skillet; add teriyaki sauce, tomato paste, catsup, and vinegar, stir-ring well.
Reduce heat to low, and simmer 15 minutes, stirring frequenrty.
Add water, stirring well; cook an additional 5 minutes.
Spoon 1/3 cup meat mixture over each bun half.
