Plum Jam

Ingredients
  Plums 3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs) (prepared)
  Sugar 4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs)
  Powdered pectin 1 3⁄4 Ounce (1 package)
Directions

Wash and remove pits from about 3 lbs.
ripe plums cut into pieces, crush, and add 1/4 cup water.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
Place 3 1/2 cups plums in large kettle over high flame, add pectin, .mix well, and stir constantly until mixture boils rapidly.
Add sugar at once, stirring constantly.
Bring to boil while stirring, and boil exactly 1 minute.
Remove from heat,skim top, and pour quickly into hot sterilized glasses.
Seal and store with paraffin.
