No-cook Red Cherry Jam

Ingredients
  Cherries 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs), crushed
  Sugar 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Powdered pectin 1 3⁄4 Ounce
  Water 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
Directions

Measure cherries into bowl.
Stir in sugar and lemon juice.
Let stand 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Boil pectin and water together 1 minute, and remove from heat.
Stir in fruit mixture, and continue stirring 2 minutes.
Ladle into 6-8 jelly glasses or freezer cartons.
Let stand at room temperature 24 hours or overnight; then cover with waxed paper and metal or cardboard lids.
Store in freezer or refrigerator.
Makes 6-8 jelly glasses.
