Cherry Jam

Ingredients
  Cherries 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Sugar 1 1⁄4 Pound
  Almonds 2 Ounce
  Kirsch 5 Tablespoon
  Lemon 1 , juiced
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven to 400°F.
2) Soak the clay cooking pot, in water.

MAKING
3) Remove the stalks, wash and stone the cherries.
4) In a clay pot, place the cherries and sugar.
5) Allow the cherry mixture to rest overnight.
6) Put the lid on and bake in oven for 1 1/2 hours.
7) Remove from oven and stir in Kirsch, lemon juice and chopped almonds when still hot.

SERVING
8) Serve as desire
