Green Tomato Jam

Ingredients
  Chopped green tomatoes 2 1⁄2 Pound (6 Cups)
  Hot water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Sugar 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Lemons 2 , thinly sliced
Directions

1. Cover tomatoes with hot water and boil for 5 minutes.
2. Drain and add sugar. Let stand for 3 hours or longer.
3. Drain syrup into kettle; bring to a boil and cook rapidly until quite thick.
4. Add tomatoes and sliced lemon and cook until thick and clear, about 10 minutes.
5. Pack into sterilized jars and seal.
