Strawberry Jam

Ingredients
  Strawberries 3 1⁄2 Pound, washed and hulled
  Sugar 6 Cup (96 tbs), washed and hulled
  Fruit pectin 1 Ounce (1 Package)
Directions

Put a layer of strawberries in a large saucepan; sprinkle with sugar.
Repeat procedure with remaining strawberries and sugar.
Allow to stand 2 hours.
Place pan over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved and berries begin to give off their juice.
Increase heat to medium high.
Bring mixture to a boil and cook 5 minutes.
Add fruit pectin and return to a rolling boil.
Boil hard 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow to stand 5 minutes.
Skim if necessary.
Pack into hot, clean jars and seal.
