Baked Jam Roly Poly
|Self raising flour||8 Ounce|
|Shredded suet||4 Ounce|
|Cold water||8 Tablespoon (To Mix)|
|Strawberry jam/Raspberry jam||5 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
Heat the oven to 425°F, 220°C, gas no. 7 and lightly flour a baking tray.
Mix together the flour, salt and suet in a bowl and add sufficient cold water to make a soft but not sticky dough and then knead lightly.
Roll out on a floured surface to an 8 inch (20 cm) square and spread the jam to within 1 inch (2.5 cm) of the edge, roll up loosely and press the edges firmly together with a rolling pin.
Lift onto the baking tray and cook for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
