Italian Sausage

Italian Sausage is a style of pork sausage, known for its seasoning of fennel or anise. The main ingredients of the Italian sausage are coarse ground pork butt, fennel seed, caraway seed, crushed hot pepper, sugar, coriander, garlic, and dry red wine. Sugar, coriander,seeds are grind, while the pork, garlic, and wine are mixed. Herbs are added to the pork mixture; whole mixture is kept in the refrigerator for 3 hours. The sausage has two flavorings; sweet and spicy. Sometimes Italian sausage acts as main ingredient for other dishes such as; Italian Sausage Spaghetti. Italian Sausage is grilled and often served with giardiniera or vegetables.
