Ingredients
  Apples 4
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Rum/Other liquor 5 Tablespoon
  Eggs 2 , separated
  Milk 6 Ounce
  Flour 6 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying)
Directions

Core and peel apples, then slice into donut shaped rounds.
Put into a large bowl with 3/4 cup of sugar, and rum or other liquor.
Cover and let apples marinate for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
Whisk egg yolks and add milk, then gradually sift in flour, mixing constantly.
In another bowl, beat egg whites and salt until stiff, then fold into the batter.
Pour oil 275 cm deep into large saucepan or deep fryer, and heat to 375°F./190°C.
Dip apple rounds into the batter and lower them one at a time into the oil.
Turn over, and when golden on both sides, remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Arrange fritters on a platter, sprinkle with remaining sugar and serve.
