Tortellini With Pepperoni Sauce

Ingredients
  Tortellini 500 Gram
  Pepperoni sausage 125 Gram, thinly sliced
  Tomatoes 4 (Peeled)
  Dijon mustard 1 Tablespoon
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), chopped
  Lemon juice 2 Teaspoon
  Red pepper flakes 1 Teaspoon
  Olive oil 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Shallots 6 , finely chopped
  Basil leaves slice 1
  Pepperoni 2 (For Garnish)
Directions

Drop the tortellini into a generous saucepan of boiling salted water and cook 'al dente' — until just tender — drain and refresh under cold water. In a food processor or blender rough chop (by switching the machine at the controls on and off) the pepperoni, the tomatoes, the mustard, the garlic, the lemon juice, and the red pepper flakes. With the motor running add the oil in a stream and blend the mixture until it is combined well. In a large bowl toss the shallots and the tortellini with the sauce until the pasta is coated well and garnish the dish with the basil and the additional pepperoni if desired. Serve the pasta at room temperature. Serves 4 to 6.
