Baked Italian Chicken
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chili sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dried oregano||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Celery seed||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Broiler fryer chicken||3 Pound, cut up (Ready To Cook)|
|Fine dry bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 375Â°.
Combine water, chili sauce, salt, oregano, celery seed, and pepper.
Dip chicken in sauce mixture; coat skin side with crumbs.
In 13x9x2 inch baking dish heat butter in oven till melted.
Place chicken, crumb side up, in baking dish; pour on remaining sauce mixture.
Bake at 375Â° till tender, about 1 hour.
